There are two kinds of people in the world. There are those who see through the lens of sight and there are those who see through the lens of vision. Sight is a fixed mindset and vision is a growth mindset. Vision is what led things such as the civil rights movement and made it to be a success. Every single person who included themselves in the movement shared the same mental image of a world; equal rights for everyone. Vision is one of the most powerful forces in the world because it births what we call innovation. It is what led us from the desktop computer, to the laptop, to the smartphone. Vision gives our individual lives a sense of purpose because it allows us to see the world from a perspective of improvement. Although vision is one of the most powerful forces on earth it can also be one of the most dangerous. Living under free will (the ability to do as we please), we have the power to envision and act on things that are generationally destructive to our society; in short there are the Martin Luther King Jr's. of society and the Hitlers of society. However, aligning our visions with Gods purpose results in a beautiful thing. Vision is one of God's characteristics as he is known as the Beginning and the End, capable of knowing the end from the beginning. Vision is a gift from God to us. It is our responsibility to advance the world through the visions we have. Something I believe every human desires is a sense of purpose and direction for ones life; vision enables that experience. Live through the lens of vision, and use your God given gifts along the journey of fulfilling that vision.
